At RGCMS we ensure that Students have a very vibrant experience of their MMS Journey. This is facilitated by various events,where students are not only part but lead many of these events. These events hone Students team working and leadership skills.

Various Academic and co-curricular events are conducted throughout the year to facilitate Students overall development. Events are conducted as part of various committees.

Training and Development

 

A.Y 2023-2024:

1. Orientation Programme

The event was conducted to welcome & orient the students of Batch 22-24. It was held in online mode. It was conducted with an intention of welcoming the Students & introducing them with College culture, its Vision, Mission, and emphasis on Outcome Based Learning & various committees introduction

 

2. Seminar on Financial Literacy Awareness in Collaboration with BSE & NSE

The seminar was conducted with an intention to make students aware as a professional.The lectures on BSE would help individuals to pursue a career in Stock Market or a career in Finance in profiles like Financial Analysts, Investment Professionals, and stockbrokers, amongst others. Further, the offered programs as well as special sessions to aid students in gaining an all-round understanding of financial markets

 

3. Inter- College Debate Competition 2023-2024.

This activity was conducted to have collaborative experiential learning with other college students Mr Koustubh Gokhale Hon.Treasurer-TBIA, Asst.Prof. Sunil Sharma- Sales And Marketing Manager and Ms.Ankita Singh Rajput-Alumin-Asst.Manager-Jio Platforms Ltd. were the esteemed guests and judges for the inter-college debate competition.The event was collaborative with other colleges VPM Dr.V.N.Bedekar Institute of Management Studies Thane, and MGM Institute of Management Studies, Navi Mumbai. Overall, 36 students registered for this event and 18 students participated in the event.

 

4. Expert talk on Quality Management Systems:

This activity was conducted to create awareness for continuous improvement through the Quality Management System. Dr. Mangesh Brahme was the keynote speaker who overwhelmed the session with proper understanding and he gave real life examples on Quality Management System used in the organization.56 students attended the session & upscaled their understanding the approach of 5-S and representing the institute.

 

5. Seminar On 5’s Safety Mission Systems:

This activity was conducted to create awareness for continuous improvement among the employee engagement through the 5-S system of Japanese’s technology and innovations.Dr.Mangesh Bambre was the keynote speaker who overwhelmed the session with proper understanding and he gave real life examples on 5-S systems used by the employees in the organization as well as to have a disciplined approach to work life balance of an employee.

 

A.Y 2022-2023:

1. Orientation Programme

The event was conducted to welcome & orient the students of Batch 22-23. It was held in RGCMS Campus. It was conducted with an intention of welcoming the Students & introducing them with College culture, its Vision, Mission, and emphasis on Outcome Based Learning & various committees introduction.

 

2. Effective Teaching through Case Study & Simulation Pedagogies”

This FDP was conducted with an intention to unlearn basic practice & learn newer pedagogy of case study teaching & simulation setup in a class.

 

3. How to optimally utilize your MMS phase

The seminar was conducted with an intention to make students learn self-regulation & optimal utilization of MMS period teaching & simulation. The guest speaker Mr. Prathamesh Kulkarni, a market researcher & big data analyst by profession created awareness amongst students on having realistic perspective on utility of MMS phase & how students should chalk out a planner for the same.

The seminar was conducted with an intention to make students learn self-regulation as a human & as a professional
The guest speaker Mr. Rhuturaj More, Solutions Architect – Costco Wholesale (BI and analytics division) by profession a created awareness amongst students on taking right decisions & learning from failures & how students should learn from critical introspection & observation.

 

4. Financial literacy awareness – Webinar

The seminar was conducted with an intention to make students aware as a professional. 5. Value Added Program on ‘Digital Marketing’

In order to make students market ready & employable, this value added program was introduced.

Total Batch 2021-23 got enrolled for this VAP and nearly 109 participants completed this program successfully

 

6. Value Added Program on ‘Application based Program on Adv. Excel, PowerPoint and Word’

In order to make students work efficient & effective with technical skills, this value added program was introduced. This Value Added Program this is a collaborative activity for functionality of MOU with ExcelR.

A.Y. 2023-2024:

1. Webinar on “Sexual Harassment in the Workplace”

This event was conducted on the “Sexual Harassment in the workplace” Awareness. The Resource person was Ms. Namrata Bhavnagar practicing advocate at Supreme Court of India. To spread awareness about the rights of female employees and the process in case of any unwelcome behavior in the workplace. During the seminar participants showed involvement & asked various questions pertaining to their rights and the process to deal with the sexual harassment.

 

2. Webinar on  Cervical Cancer Detection

This event was conducted on the Topic Cervical Cancer Awareness. The Resource person. Dr. Renuka Borisa –Consultant, Obstetrics & Gynaecology @ Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.

 

A.Y. 2022-2023:

1. Women Self Defense Workshop

Women self defense workshop was organized by WDC Committee 1st December 2022.The aim of the workshop was to promote women safety & self defense awareness among female students & teachers. The session expert trainer for this workshop Mr. Sudhakar Pal (Chief Instructor) & Gold Medalist -National level Sports JEET Kune – Do Federation of India; also 2nd Rank, Black belt – SJKD came in with 3 of our male students becoming a part of this workshop to teach self defense techniques.Spoke about staying focused in time of uncertainty & made the female audience do some techniques too.

 

2. Webinar on Breast & Cervical cancer awareness

To create awareness about Breast & Cervical cancer an awareness programme was organized by Rotary club, Navi Mumbai on 13th October 2022. Mr. Kailash Jethani was the chief guest & Mr. Darshana Jethani was guest of Honor for the scheduled seminar.Both threw light on breast & cervical cancer- causes, concern, precautions, treatments, etc. for this programme. During their talk, they shed light on the causes of cancer and provided guidance about how to minimize the risk of contracting cancer.

 

3. Women’s Day Celebration

WDC Committee has organized a program on Women day celebration. The program was held on 10th March 2022. The aim of the programme was to promote women empowerment awareness among female students. Our all woman participant students, teachers, staff came together and shared their experiences as a women. Hon. Trustee of the institute Ms. Ashivini Jadhav joined the celebration & she engaged women from all cadres with great zeal. Later the programme concluded with a cake cutting celebration.

 

4. Webinar on Gender Sensitization

This webinar was conducted on the topic ‘Gender Sensitisation’ on 10th March 2023.The Guest Speaker Dr. Geetanjali Chandra who is a lawyer, academic leader, and counselor created awareness on the topic among students via an online session.She gave a talk on Gender sensitivity at large during the session, also issues on gender equality, women empowerment,etc were discussed.Observed that during the webinar participants showed involvement & asked various queries too.

 

4. Menstrual Health & Hygiene Management – Webinar

Menstrual Health & Hygiene Management – Webinar was organized by WDC Committee and Unicharm India & Global hunt foundation as a part of WDC initiative. The program was held on 6th April 2023. The aim of the programme was to promote management menstrual health & hygiene among female students. Ms. Roshnee Bhowmik was the speaker at the seminar. She interacted well & answered all questions from participants

 

A.Y. 2021-2022:

1. Webinar: Challenges faced by Women at workplace

This event was conducted on the Topic ‘Challenges faced by Women at workplace’ on 8th March 2022.The Guest Speaker Dr. Geetanjali Chandra, lawyer, academic leader, and counsellor created awareness on various challenges faced by women at workplace.

 

2. TBIA Women’s day workhop: Fire Fighting Training.

The female employees from the College attended a day free session to get free medical check-ups, free firefighting training & webinar from Dr. Rita from Reliance hospitals.
