Overview
At RGCMS we ensure that Students have a very vibrant experience of their MMS Journey. This is facilitated by various events,where students are not only part but lead many of these events. These events hone Students team working and leadership skills.
Various Academic and co-curricular events are conducted throughout the year to facilitate Students overall development. Events are conducted as part of various committees.
Training and Development
A.Y 2024-2025:
1. Guest lecture on ‘Training as a Business Partner’
The APRC conducted a guest lecture on 3rd August 2024 to enhance student understanding of business partnering in Training & Development. The session, mapped to PO1 and the T&D course, was led by Ms. Priya Mhambrey, who emphasized employee performance, satisfaction, retention, and related challenges. The session was interactive, with active student participation. A total of 60 students attended, and feedback indicated improved understanding of the concept.
2. Induction Program 24-25 Batch 24-26
The APRC conducted the induction program on 31st August and 2nd September 2024 to welcome students and familiarize them with the Institute and MMS program framework. The event began with an invocation and felicitation of dignitaries, including Chief Guest Dr. Srinivasan Iyengar, Guest of Honor Dr. Suhas Rao, Hon. Trustee Ms. Ashvini Jadhav, and Prof. Dr. Dinesh Gabhane. They addressed students on topics such as professionalism, industry expectations, and leadership. Faculty members introduced student-centric committees and encouraged active participation. A total of 99 students attended, showing enthusiasm and curiosity. Feedback was collected and analyzed.
3. Guest lecture on ‘Essential Guide to writing an OJT Report’
The APRC conducted a session on 22nd February 2025, led by Ms. Shraddha Maradi, focusing on the structure and importance of an OJT report. She covered key components such as the title page, objectives, company profile, work summaries, learning outcomes, challenges, and recommendations. The session emphasized clarity, coherence, and professionalism in writing, along with common mistakes to avoid. Students also participated in practical exercises by reviewing sample reports. A total of 51 students attended. Feedback was collected and analyzed.
4. Group Discussion Competition 24-25
The APRC conducted a debate competition on 4th March 2025 to promote critical thinking and communication skills. The event consisted of three rounds covering academic and contemporary topics. Students demonstrated analytical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork. Judges assessed participants on clarity, reasoning, confidence, and communication. A total of 23 students participated. A feedback session highlighted students’ appreciation for the platform to enhance their debating and leadership skills. Winners were announced, and all participants received certificates. Feedback was collected and analyzed.
5. Expert lecture on ‘AI in Banking’
The APRC conducted a session on 6th March 2025, led by Mr. Bhushan Kadam, focusing on the role of Artificial Intelligence in the banking sector and its relevance to corporate finance. He covered AI applications across industries, including machine learning, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, RPA, predictive analytics, blockchain, and cybersecurity. A total of 95 students attended. Feedback was collected and analyzed.
6. Debate Competition 24-25
The APRC conducted a debate competition on 12th March 2025 to promote collaborative experiential learning, mapped to PO2. Dr. Puja Kaushik and Mr. Annie Rupla served as judges, following a structured SOP with rubrics for all three rounds. Out of 20 registrations, 18 students participated. Winners and runner-up were awarded certificates and trophies during the prize distribution ceremony. Feedback was collected and analyzed.
7. Case study Presentation competition
The APRC conducted a case study writing & presentation competition on 25th March 2025 to encourage collaborative experiential learning, mapped to PO2 and PO4. Dr. Deepika Jindoliya and Ms. Divya Mahadule judged the event, where 18 students registered, and 52 participated as the audience. Students presented and discussed current scenario-based cases. Judges followed a structured SOP and rubrics for fair assessment. Winners and runner-up were awarded certificates and trophies. Feedback was collected and analyzed.
8. Guest lecture on ‘Strategy & Decision Making’
The APRC conducted a guest lecture on 26th March 2025 to enhance students’ understanding of business strategies and decision-making, mapped to PO2. Mr. Sachin Rane, a veteran commander, led the session, encouraging student interaction and emphasizing attitude, common sense, and self-awareness. 62 students attended, gaining valuable insights into business strategies. Feedback was collected and analyzed.
9. Expert lecture on ‘Project management’
The APRC conducted the activity on 19.04.2025. This expert lecture was conducted to make students refresh the above course syllabus by solving university papers, IRR calculations, etc. Dr. Sujata Chincholkar was the speaker who taught in the session with proper understanding and she made sure students solved questions from last 3 years project management university papers. 94 students attended the session. Feedback was collected & analyzed.
10. Expert lecture on ‘Project management’
The APRC conducted the activity on 19.04.2025. This expert lecture was conducted to make students refresh the above course syllabus by solving university papers, IRR calculations, etc. Dr. Sujata Chincholkar was the speaker who taught in the session with proper understanding and she made sure students solved questions from last 3 years project management university papers. 94 students attended the session. Feedback was collected & analyzed.
11. FDP on ‘NEP orientation & MMS syllabus post autonomy’
The APRC conducted the activity on 23.04.2025. A day workshop was conducted to develop an understanding regarding NEP guidelines for HEI, PG courses & Syllabus framework post autonomy grant. Dr. Nitin Joshi (Director, VNBIMS), an educationist, who has been a part of university board of studies got in an interaction with the team & answered multiple queries as a part of mental preparation for autonomy work. Later, he addressed all faculty members on the adaptability towards learner centric perspective & preparation required to work further in the autonomy journey of the Institute.Summary of pointers were listed in the report for further reference. 8 faculty members attended the session.
A.Y 2023-2024:
1. Orientation Programme
The event was conducted to welcome & orient the students of Batch 22-24. It was held in online mode. It was conducted with an intention of welcoming the Students & introducing them with College culture, its Vision, Mission, and emphasis on Outcome Based Learning & various committees introduction
2. Seminar on Financial Literacy Awareness in Collaboration with BSE & NSE
The seminar was conducted with an intention to make students aware as a professional.The lectures on BSE would help individuals to pursue a career in Stock Market or a career in Finance in profiles like Financial Analysts, Investment Professionals, and stockbrokers, amongst others. Further, the offered programs as well as special sessions to aid students in gaining an all-round understanding of financial markets
3. Inter- College Debate Competition 2023-2024.
This activity was conducted to have collaborative experiential learning with other college students Mr Koustubh Gokhale Hon.Treasurer-TBIA, Asst.Prof. Sunil Sharma- Sales And Marketing Manager and Ms.Ankita Singh Rajput-Alumin-Asst.Manager-Jio Platforms Ltd. were the esteemed guests and judges for the inter-college debate competition.The event was collaborative with other colleges VPM Dr.V.N.Bedekar Institute of Management Studies Thane, and MGM Institute of Management Studies, Navi Mumbai. Overall, 36 students registered for this event and 18 students participated in the event.
4. Expert talk on Quality Management Systems:
This activity was conducted to create awareness for continuous improvement through the Quality Management System. Dr. Mangesh Brahme was the keynote speaker who overwhelmed the session with proper understanding and he gave real life examples on Quality Management System used in the organization.56 students attended the session & upscaled their understanding the approach of 5-S and representing the institute.
5. Seminar On 5’s Safety Mission Systems:
This activity was conducted to create awareness for continuous improvement among the employee engagement through the 5-S system of Japanese’s technology and innovations.Dr.Mangesh Bambre was the keynote speaker who overwhelmed the session with proper understanding and he gave real life examples on 5-S systems used by the employees in the organization as well as to have a disciplined approach to work life balance of an employee.
A.Y 2022-2023:

The event was conducted to welcome & orient the students of Batch 22-23. It was held in RGCMS Campus. It was conducted with an intention of welcoming the Students & introducing them with College culture, its Vision, Mission, and emphasis on Outcome Based Learning & various committees introduction.
2. Effective Teaching through Case Study & Simulation Pedagogies”
This FDP was conducted with an intention to unlearn basic practice & learn newer pedagogy of case study teaching & simulation setup in a class.
3. How to optimally utilize your MMS phase
The seminar was conducted with an intention to make students learn self-regulation & optimal utilization of MMS period teaching & simulation. The guest speaker Mr. Prathamesh Kulkarni, a market researcher & big data analyst by profession created awareness amongst students on having realistic perspective on utility of MMS phase & how students should chalk out a planner for the same.
The seminar was conducted with an intention to make students learn self-regulation as a human & as a professional
The guest speaker Mr. Rhuturaj More, Solutions Architect – Costco Wholesale (BI and analytics division) by profession a created awareness amongst students on taking right decisions & learning from failures & how students should learn from critical introspection & observation.
4. Financial literacy awareness – Webinar
The seminar was conducted with an intention to make students aware as a professional. The lectures on BSE would help individuals to pursue a career in Stock Market or a career in Finance in profiles like Financial Analysts, Investment Professionals, and stockbrokers, amongst others. Further, the offered programs as well as special sessions to aid students in gaining an all-round understanding of financial markets
5. Value Added Program on ‘Digital Marketing’
In order to make students market ready & employable, this value added program was introduced.
Total Batch 2021-23 got enrolled for this VAP and nearly 109 participants completed this program successfully
6. Value Added Program on ‘Application based Program on Adv. Excel, PowerPoint and Word’
In order to make students work efficient & effective with technical skills, this value added program was introduced. This Value Added Program this is a collaborative activity for functionality of MOU with ExcelR.

A.Y. 2024-2025:
1. Seminar on ‘Gender Sensitization’
The Women Development Committee in order to promote gender sensitivity among students conducted a seminar held on December 21st, 2024 for the topic of ‘Gender Sensitization.’
The guest speaker was Adv. Kajol Nisal; she specializes in trademarks, contract drafting, and legal freelancing. She discussed gender sensitivity at large during the seminar; also, issues on gender equality, women’s empowerment, etc. were discussed. This session benefited students in adding perspective towards gender sensitivity.
2. Seminar on ‘Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) at workplace’
The Women Development Committee, conducted a seminar on ‘Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) at Workplace’ on January 11th, 2025.The objective of the seminar was to create awareness for sexual harassment and promote its prevention among students.
The Guest Speaker Advocate, Ms. Sonam Kotwani, specializes in criminal cases, court practice, and teaches law subjects. She gave a talk on Posh policy (2013), the ICC Committee, sexual harassment, and how to prevent it. Structure of ICC, possible recommendations against the guilty, and periods of complaint filing were discussed at large during the seminar; also related issues were discussed. About 70 students and staff members, attended the seminar. Observed that during the seminar participants showed involvement and asked various queries too.
3. Seminar on Women health & hygiene awareness & Free health Checkup Camp’
The Women Development Committee, in collaboration with the Apollo Hospitals, conducted a seminar and free health checkup camp on January 24th, 2025.The objective of the seminar was to create awareness for women’s health and hygiene among students and all female staff members. Guest Speaker Dr. Trupti Dubey, who specializes in gynecology, gave a talk on women’s health and hygiene awareness, and related issues were discussed. About 79 people, including female students and staff, attended the seminar.It was observed that during the seminar participants showed involvement and asked various questions pertaining to their health and other doubts.
4. International Women’s Day celebration
The Women Development Committee celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8th, 2025, with great pomp and ceremony.All the female stakeholders from teaching and non-teaching, students, and housekeeping, along with all male colleagues, celebrated together. Around 91 people were part of this celebration. The program started with a speech from a student informing everyone why we are celebrating Women’s Day.The director Dr. Dinesh Ghabane shared his thoughts on this day. The celebration came to an end with all the women clicking pictures for memory and all together sharing refreshments.
5. Seminar on ‘Awareness on PCOD & PCOS’
The Women Development Committee collaborated with Wish2Care Hospitals to create awareness through a seminar for women-centric conditions like PCOD and PCOS among students on March 8th, 2025. The guest speaker is Dr. Amit Agarwal, a reputed doctor who specializes in infertility and urology. He conducted the session and emphasized PCOD and PCOS conditions, which are prevalent among women in the current scenario. Around 91 people were a part of this seminar.It was observed that during the seminar participants showed involvement and asked various questions pertaining to their health and other doubts. Male students were also seen taking an interest in understanding these conditions regarding the opposite gender. Further feedback was taken as the session concluded
A.Y. 2023-2024:
1. Webinar on “Sexual Harassment in the Workplace”
This event was conducted on the “Sexual Harassment in the workplace” Awareness. The Resource person was Ms. Namrata Bhavnagar practicing advocate at Supreme Court of India. The event was conducted on 15/01/2024.To spread awareness about the rights of female employees and the process in case of any unwelcome behavior in the workplace. During the seminar participants showed involvement & asked various questions pertaining to their rights and the process to deal with the sexual harassment.
2. Webinar on Cervical Cancer Detection
This event was conducted on the Topic Cervical Cancer Awareness. The resource person. Dr. Renuka Borisa –Consultant, Obstetrics & Gynaecology @ Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.The main aim of this event to spread the awareness about the cervical cancer symptoms, diagnosis and vaccination. It was conducted on 5th October,2023.
3. Visit to Aarine Foundation – Awareness on Women Empowerment
This event was conducted on the topic Awareness on Women Empowerment to Spread awareness about women empowerment in collaboration with the Aarine Foundation organization. The Event was conducted by the “Women Development Committee” on 26-02-2024The Resource person was Mr. Nitesh Misal is the Founder of Aarine Foundation. Event was attended by 25 participants including students and staff.The committee provide different facilities to children and women Aarine foundation started in 2019.Women Empowerment: they Conduct a seminar on Awareness of MenstrualHygiene for Women and the Project name is Women Shakti.
4. Celebration of INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
This activity was celebrated to understand the reason behind the celebration of women’s day on 8th march,2024 universally and to felicitate all the female staff members of RGCMS. Women’s Day was celebrated with great pomp and ceremony at the RGCMS campus in the G2 classroom.The classroom was well decorated and the women achievers were highlighted on the notice board. All the female staff members from the teaching and non-teaching department were felicitated.Program started with a speech from a student informing everyone why we are celebrating women’s day.Director Dinesh Ghabane Sir shared his experience. The celebration came to an end with all women from the staff by cutting the cake and enjoying the event with some refreshments.
5. Seminar on “Menstrual Hygiene”
This activity was celebrated to spread the awareness on the importance of Menstrual Hygiene for students. The resource person Dr. Seema Mehere–Consultant- HOD Gynae Dept at YMT Ayurvedic college.
A.Y. 2022-2023:
1. Women Self Defense Workshop
Women self defense workshop was organized by WDC Committee 1st December 2022.The aim of the workshop was to promote women safety & self defense awareness among female students & teachers. The session expert trainer for this workshop Mr. Sudhakar Pal (Chief Instructor) & Gold Medalist -National level Sports JEET Kune – Do Federation of India; also 2nd Rank, Black belt – SJKD came in with 3 of our male students becoming a part of this workshop to teach self defense techniques.Spoke about staying focused in time of uncertainty & made the female audience do some techniques too.
2. Webinar on Breast & Cervical cancer awareness
To create awareness about Breast & Cervical cancer an awareness programme was organized by Rotary club, Navi Mumbai on 13th October 2022. Mr. Kailash Jethani was the chief guest & Mr. Darshana Jethani was guest of Honor for the scheduled seminar.Both threw light on breast & cervical cancer- causes, concern, precautions, treatments, etc. for this programme. During their talk, they shed light on the causes of cancer and provided guidance about how to minimize the risk of contracting cancer.
3. Women’s Day Celebration
WDC Committee has organized a program on Women day celebration. The program was held on 10th March 2022. The aim of the programme was to promote women empowerment awareness among female students. Our all woman participant students, teachers, staff came together and shared their experiences as a women. Hon. Trustee of the institute Ms. Ashivini Jadhav joined the celebration & she engaged women from all cadres with great zeal. Later the programme concluded with a cake cutting celebration.
4. Webinar on Gender Sensitization
This webinar was conducted on the topic ‘Gender Sensitisation’ on 10th March 2023.The Guest Speaker Dr. Geetanjali Chandra who is a lawyer, academic leader, and counselor created awareness on the topic among students via an online session.She gave a talk on Gender sensitivity at large during the session, also issues on gender equality, women empowerment,etc were discussed.Observed that during the webinar participants showed involvement & asked various queries too.
4. Menstrual Health & Hygiene Management – Webinar
Menstrual Health & Hygiene Management – Webinar was organized by WDC Committee and Unicharm India & Global hunt foundation as a part of WDC initiative. The program was held on 6th April 2023. The aim of the programme was to promote management menstrual health & hygiene among female students. Ms. Roshnee Bhowmik was the speaker at the seminar. She interacted well & answered all questions from participants
A.Y. 2021-2022:
1. Webinar: Challenges faced by Women at workplace
This event was conducted on the Topic ‘Challenges faced by Women at workplace’ on 8th March 2022.The Guest Speaker Dr. Geetanjali Chandra, lawyer, academic leader, and counsellor created awareness on various challenges faced by women at workplace.
2. TBIA Women’s day workhop: Fire Fighting Training.
The female employees from the College attended a day free session to get free medical check-ups, free firefighting training & webinar from Dr. Rita from Reliance hospitals.
