Seminar on ‘Gender Sensitization’
The Gender Sensitization Seminar was held on 21st December 2024 at RGCMS, organized by the Women Development Cell with 70 student participants.
Guest speaker Adv. Kajol Nisal delivered an insightful session on gender equality, women empowerment, and the role of legal frameworks.
Students actively engaged by asking questions, showing strong interest in gender-related issues.
The event, supported with informative visuals, successfully fostered awareness and dialogue on gender sensitivity.
Seminar on ‘Women Health & Hygiene Awareness’
The Seminar and Free Health Checkup Camp was held on 24th January 2025 at RGCMS, organized by the Women Development Cell with 79 student participants.
Dr. Trupti Dubey, a gynecologist, conducted an informative session on women’s health, hygiene, and common health concerns.
A free health checkup camp allowed students to address personal health issues directly.
The event successfully raised awareness and encouraged open discussions about women’s health and hygiene.
Seminar on ‘Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) at workplace’
The POSH Seminar was conducted on 11th January 2025 at RGCMS, organized by the Women Development Cell with 70 student participants.
Guest speaker Adv. Sonam Kotwani explained the POSH Policy 2013, the role of the Internal Complaints Committee, and procedures for handling workplace sexual harassment.
The seminar covered prevention strategies, complaint filing, recommendations for offenders, and the importance of timely reporting.
Students actively engaged, making the event informative and providing practical knowledge on preventing sexual harassment in the workplace.

Webinar on “Sexual Harassment in the Workplace ”
An awareness seminar on Sexual Harassment in the Workplace was conducted on 15th January 2024.
The resource person, Adv. Namrata Bhavnagar, Supreme Court practitioner, shared insights on female employees’ rights and complaint procedures.
The session highlighted steps to address unwelcome behavior and promote workplace safety.
Participants engaged actively, asking questions and showing keen interest in the discussion.
Webinar on Cervical Cancer Detection
A seminar on Cervical Cancer Awareness was conducted on 5th October 2023 with Dr. Renuka Borisa, Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, as the resource person.
The session focused on spreading awareness about symptoms, diagnosis, and vaccination for cervical cancer.
Students gained valuable insights into preventive healthcare and early detection.
The event successfully promoted awareness on women’s health and cancer prevention.
Visit to Aarine Foundation – Awareness on Women Empowerment
An Awareness Seminar on Women Empowerment was organized by the Women Development Committee on 26th February 2024, in collaboration with the Aarine Foundation.
The resource person, Mr. Nitesh Misal, Founder of Aarine Foundation, shared insights on women empowerment initiatives.
He highlighted projects like Women Shakti and seminars on menstrual hygiene awareness conducted by the foundation since its inception in 2019.
The event was attended by 25 participants, including students and staff, and successfully promoted awareness on women’s rights and empowerment.
Celebration of INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
Women’s Day was celebrated on 8th March 2024 at the RGCMS campus in the G2 classroom with enthusiasm and joy.
The event aimed to highlight the universal significance of Women’s Day and to felicitate all female staff members.
Celebrations included student speeches, sharing by Director Dinesh Ghabane Sir, and honoring teaching and non-teaching women staff.
The program concluded with cake cutting, refreshments, and a warm acknowledgment of women
Seminar on “Menstrual Hygiene”
This activity was celebrated to spread the awareness on the importance of Menstrual Hygiene for students. The resource person Dr. Seema Mehere–Consultant- HOD Gynae Dept at YMT Ayurvedic college.
Breast Cancer Awareness was conducted on 5th November,2023.
A Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign was conducted on 5th November 2023 at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Navi Mumbai.
The event aimed to educate women on the importance of early diagnosis for better treatment outcomes and recovery.
Participants were guided on self-breast examination techniques, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and the need for regular health check-ups.
The campaign successfully promoted awareness and encouraged proactive health practices among women.
A.Y. 2022-23
Women Self Defense Workshop
The Women Self Defence Workshop was conducted on 1st December 2022 at RGCMS Campus by the WDC Committee in collaboration with Sports JEET Kune Association. The objective was to promote women’s safety and self-defense awareness among female students and staff. Expert trainer Mr. Sudhakar Pal, a national-level gold medalist and black belt instructor, led the session with demonstrations. Participants also practiced basic self-defense techniques, making the workshop engaging and impactful.
Webinar on Breast & Cervical cancer awareness
The WDC Committee organized an online webinar on 13th October 2022 in collaboration with Rotary Club, Navi Mumbai, to promote awareness on breast and cervical cancer. Chief Guest Mr. Kailash Jethani and Guest of Honor Ms. Darshana Jethani highlighted causes, concerns, precautions, and treatments. The session emphasized adopting a healthy lifestyle to minimize cancer risks. Students actively engaged by asking questions, making the session interactive and informative.

Women’s Day Celebration
The WDC Committee organized a Women’s Day Celebration on 10th March 2022 at the RGCMS campus. The event aimed to promote women empowerment and bring together female students, staff, and faculty to share their experiences. Hon. Trustee Ms. Ashivini Jadhav graced the occasion and engaged actively with participants. The celebration concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, fostering unity and enthusiasm among all.
