1. “My Story – Motivational Session by Successful Innovators 2024-2025 on 26th November, 2024.” Company Name: Fresh Box Media Pvt Ltd.

Kajal Kothari, co-founder of Fresh Box Media Pvt. Ltd., is a dynamic entrepreneur known for her expertise in digital marketing, branding, and content strategy. Starting her career as a pharmacy graduate and medical representative, she quickly rose to success, becoming the best MR in just eight months. This achievement inspired her to explore new avenues, eventually leading her to establish a thriving digital media agency with over 80 clients. Under her leadership, Fresh Box Media has gained recognition for its innovative online campaigns and impactful content. Kajal is also a motivational speaker and mentor, encouraging students to embrace failure as a stepping stone, think creatively, build strong networks, and pursue their passions with persistence. The event was to provide a platform for successful innovators to share their experiences and to motivate students to pursue their passions and overcome obstacles.

2. Field Trip: “Field Visit for Problem Identification, focused on aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goals and Exploring Emerging Areas of Technology”

The field visit aimed to identify local community challenges and explore innovative solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). On November 17, 2024, students and committee members visited the ACETECH exhibition at the Bombay Exhibition Centre and registered with ACESTEC to interact with entrepreneurs and gather data using a structured Google Form. Guided by Mr. Kishor Navandar, CMD of Blue Billion Group, students learned how businesses tackle challenges and leverage SDG Goal 14 for global opportunities. Valuable insights were also shared by Mr. Manish Gandhi, MD of ACESTEC, on innovation and creativity. Interactions with entrepreneurs such as Mr. Aekamjeet Singh (HIFC), Mr. Nilesh Gala (Trezure Lifestyle Pvt. Ltd.), and Ms. Nikila Shridhar (Craysil) provided students with firsthand knowledge of entrepreneurship, business growth, and the role of SDGs like Goal 9 in driving innovation and infrastructure.

3. Celebration: “National Innovation Day”

To celebrate Vachan Prerana Diwas 2024 and honor the birthday of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, a book exhibition and reading awareness program was organized by Librarian Mr. Pratik Dhepe, Asst. Librarian Mr. Avinash Nivale, and students. The event aimed to inspire students to cultivate reading as a hobby and recognize its value in personal growth. Our Director delivered a motivating talk, emphasizing how reading enhances vocabulary, communication, and critical thinking—key elements for academic and overall success.

4. Celebration: “National Education Day”

The celebration of National Education Day at Shri Annasaheb Sahasrabuddhe Ashram honored the legacy of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad by promoting the value of education and innovation among children. Students and teachers introduced the concept of innovation, showcased global examples, and conducted creative workshops to inspire curiosity and problem-solving. The event encouraged children to explore ideas that could lead to positive change in their communities. The Institute Innovation Council expresses sincere gratitude to all participants, staff, and the Ashram for their support in making the event impactful and successful.

5. Expert Talk on Process of Innovation Development, Technolory Readiness tevel (TRL) commercialization of Lab technologies & Tech -Transfer on 9th January, 2025

On January 9, 2025, the Institute Innovation Council organized an insightful online session via G-Meet, with over 100 participants, led by resource person Dr. B. Gayathri. The session focused on the innovation process, business strategy, incubation, and startup development. Dr. Gayathri shared valuable insights on prototyping, ideation, and strategic planning using real-life examples like Apple. She emphasized the importance of research, brainstorming, and seizing opportunities. The discussion covered the incubation phase, acceleration, and implementation of innovative ideas. She also explained the Technology Readiness Level (TRL), assessing technology maturity, risks, resource allocation, and commercialization challenges, providing a comprehensive overview of innovation to launch.

6. Workshop on Effective Sales and Marketing Strategies for Entrepreneurs/Start-Ups

On January 10, 2025, a webinar titled “Workshop on Effective Sales and Marketing Strategies for Entrepreneurs/Start-Ups” was conducted via G-Meet with over 100 participants. Organized to help understand marketing strategies for new business ideas, the session was led by Dr. Abilasha N., who shared practical insights on navigating sales and marketing challenges. She discussed leveraging digital platforms, content marketing, and social media to boost brand visibility and audience engagement. The session also covered lead generation, data-driven strategies, and real-life startup examples like Zepto to illustrate effective marketing approaches for business growth.

7. Celebration on “National Start – Up Day”- Management Quiz (Inter-collegiate event)

On January 16, 2025, the Department of Management Studies at RGCMS celebrated National Start-Up Day by organizing an inter-collegiate Management Quiz aimed at promoting entrepreneurial thinking among students. With 150 participants from 15 colleges across Navi Mumbai, the event featured multiple quiz rounds on business awareness, start-up trivia, case studies, and rapid-fire challenges. The celebration began with an inspiring address by Hon. Ashivini Jadhav, highlighting the role of start-ups in economic growth. Entrepreneurs and industry experts also shared valuable insights, making the event both educational and motivating. Winners were awarded certificates and prizes for their exceptional performance.

8. Effective waste management for a sustainable future” on National Conservation Day

On December 14, 2024, the Institute Innovation Council organized a webinar on “Effective Waste Management for a Sustainable Future” to mark National Conservation Day, with over 100 participants. Resource person Mr. Amit Yadav, a PhD scholar specializing in Municipal Solid Waste Management at TMC, provided insights into waste generation, types of waste, and India’s ranking in global waste production. He highlighted government initiatives, hospital waste disposal practices, and the impact of poor air quality on health. The session emphasized the 5Rs—Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Recovery, and Landfill—and introduced simple composting methods using three pots. The interactive session encouraged participants to adopt sustainable practices, starting at home.

9. CELEBRATION: NATIONAL YOUTH DAY

Rajeev Gandhi College of Management Studies celebrated National Youth Day with a three-day Fit India Week from January 12 to 13, 2025, organized by the Institute Innovation Council. With over 150 participants, the event featured a yoga session led by Ms. Manya Chandnani, promoting mindfulness and flexibility, followed by a Tug of War competition encouraging teamwork and strength. A friendly cricket match brought together students and staff, fostering community spirit and physical fitness. The celebration successfully raised awareness about healthy living and reinforced the college’s commitment to promoting wellness and an active lifestyle.

10. Entrepreneurial Drivers, Creativity, and Venture Development: A Hand on Workshop

On 22nd February 2025, Rajeev Gandhi College of Management Studies hosted an expert session on “Drivers for Entrepreneurship, Hands-On Workshop on Creativity and Brainstorming, Applying the Entrepreneurial Process for New Venture Development” in Classroom. Conducted by Mr. Sunil Jadhav sir the workshop aimed to help students understand entrepreneurial drivers and apply creativity in real-life business cases. The session saw active participation from 70 students, with engaging pedagogies that encouraged brainstorming and discussion. Students enthusiastically interacted with the speaker, and feedback was collected to enhance future sessions.

11. Executive Pitch 2k25: A Business Idea Competition

Rajeev Gandhi College of Management Studies under the IIC committee hosted the self-driven activity for over 3 days, and the final competition was held on 5th April,2025. Executive Pitch 2K25 was to provide a dynamic platform for students to showcase their innovative business ideas, enhance their entrepreneurial mindset, and develop essential pitching and presentation skills. The event aimed to foster creativity, strategic thinking, and industry-academia collaboration by engaging participants in real-time business pitching, evaluated by experienced professionals and entrepreneurs. Through this initiative, the college aimed to cultivate leadership qualities and empower students to transform their ideas into viable ventures. More than 20 teams participated and 100 + members participated in the event.

1. Idea Generation Contest 2022

Idea Generation Contest 2022 planned with Ignition Incubation Center
Objective of Activity: An idea generation competition challenged students to share Invites were sent notice & later certificates were distributed to the participants and winners.Cash prizes were given to winners – First prize – Rs 5,100,Second prize – Rs 3,100, Third prize- Rs 2,100. Idea Evaluators: Dr. Farheen Ahmad, Ms. Niyati Joshi, Ms. Bidisha Roy Goswami Idea Generation Contest 2022 was conducted from 16th July 2022 to 26th August 2022. 49 students submitted their ideas. It was an inter college event.

 

2. Webinar on skill set, Attitude and Behavior

Objective of Activity: To understand skill set, attitude and behavior to be an entrepreneur Resource Person related webinar to all Po’s- PO1, PO2, PO3, PO4, and PO5. Event was conducted on Entrepreneurship Skill, Attitude and Behavior Development on 4.03.2023. The Resource person was Disha Kaushal Design & Strategy Consultant.Event is mapped to all Po’s.

  • As the students were able to apply management theories to solve business problems

  • Students analyzed more than 27 failed entrepreneurs.

Students undertook a Live Project under Entrepreneurship Development Committee wherein they developed more than 300 creatives, the team members were enrolled in various courses to understand basic concepts of digital marketing. They learned and applied all the concepts simultaneously resulting in remarkable increase of followers from 56 to 1800.
